Develop and disseminate three Knowledge Products for infrastructure developers and public sector officials in low and middle-income countries to enable them to incorporate resilience and climate change issues when developing new infrastructure projects.




The current global context of climate change, rapid urbanization and population growth places populations in developing and emerging economies in a vulnerable position. The key barrier to investment flows to the ‘right infrastructure’ is mainly due to a lack of common understanding of what the ‘right infrastructure’ is, and how risk mitigation, and ESG benefits creation should be assessed and communicated.
GIB was engaged by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) , to provide project developers and public sector officials with the appropriate knowledge and guidance to increase the understanding of resilience and climate issues in infrastructure and how this impacts and affects outcomes. In this project GIB developed and disseminated three knowledge products to accomplish this objective:
