Direct the renewing of transport infrastructure towards infrastructure enabling sustainable lifestyles by providing guidelines to cities

The need for global infrastructure in the coming decades is enormous: if the goal of the Paris Climate Convention of limiting the global temperature increase to “well below 2°C” is to succeed, the entire global energy, transport, building and industrial infrastructure will have to be renewed, upgraded or transformed (in addition to the climate-friendly infrastructure that is yet to be built in many regions of the world). It is therefore important that these infrastructure projects are planned from the beginning to be sustainable in order to reduce resource and energy requirements, and to avoid negative effects on the population and the environment. As the industrially developed countries already have a large ecological footprint it is of crucial importance to address the issue of self-sufficiency.
Adapt our tools to create sustainable lifestyles.
Provide recommendations to help the public administration to plan infrastructure which enables sustainable lifestyles.
